Founder Story

Hey, I'm Zach.

I picked up indoor bouldering at 32. A few years later, I wanted a fun way for my gym's community to track their climbs and cheer each other on, all in one place.

So I built BoulderBase, alongside the staff and setters at Alt. Rock, our launch partner. What they needed day to day shaped every feature.

What BoulderBase
is here to do.

One platform for the work behind your walls and the climbers in front of them. Your setters, your staff and your members all work from the same climbs, so nothing has to be copied between tools.

Map and set every climb

Draw your floor plan once and pin every climb to the wall it lives on. Build each set as a hidden draft, then publish it yourself or schedule it for reset day.

Run competitions in the same place

Run scramble comps from sign-up to published results. Climbers score by logging climbs the way they already do, and a TV scoreboard shows the standings.

An app that keeps climbers coming back

Your members log sends, laps and projects on the web or in the app for iPhone and Android, and chase challenges, leaderboards and milestones between resets. Every climb they log feeds your analytics, so you can see which climbs get climbed, how send rates break down by grade, and which climbers are drifting away.
